Submit a recipe

Thank you for taking an interest in submitting a recipe to the First State Brewers website. Our recipes section is powered by the BeerXML standard which should provide users of such popular brewing software as BeerSmith and Promash the ability to export directly out of their applications and into a format we can readily use.

In addition to the BeerXML format, we also accept files of other types, however they are limited and require additional time for us to convert into the BeerXML format. Please make sure that your file submissions meet the following requirements:

• All files must be less than 30K (30720 bytes). They can be compressed in a ZIP format.
• All files must have a .zip, .xml, .txt, .htm, or .html extension.
• Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat formats can be compressed into ZIP files for submission, however they must be completely macro-free.
• All files should have the name of the brewer in them somewhere.

If your submission does not meet one of the above requirements, we may be forced to discard it. Additional information such as the style, gravities, and ABV are optional but not required. The more information you provide, the better chance our fellow brewers will be able to reproduce your excellent results and enjoy the same exquisite brew you are!!!
