September Meeting Minutes

September’s meeting of the First State Brewers was held at the home of John & Cindy Cook. Thanks Cindy & John! John reported that turnout was light. Unfortunately, that is typical for the September meetings. The following were in attendance:

John Biggins
Marty Drinan
Hank Keller
Jim Amundsen
John & Cindy Cook

I was told there was plenty of food and beer for all!

The October meeting will be held this Friday, 10/21/05, at the home of Jeff Ramberg. Jeff will be hosting our annual club homebrew competition. Bring any and all homebrew you have and we’ll find a category to enter it in! Winners receive bragging rights for an entire year!

This Friday’s meeting will begin at 7:30 pm. (If you can’t make it right at 7:30, no problem! Better late than never!)

Hey there.

My name is Richie and I just moved to Milford, DE. My wife and I are new Delaware residents, having moved from Brooklyn, NY not two weeks ago. I was an avid all grain homebrewer while I was in collage but have put the hobby away for almost 10 years. Now I have purchased an all grain homebrewery kit and I am looking forward to brewing again. I'd love to come to your meetings and making friends in the area. I also love the photos of your trips to Germany and England. My wife and I love to travel, so please keep us posted if you organize another trip to Europe like that. I also love to ride my Harley so if there are any homebrewing bikers out there even better. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Scott - long time no chat, hope to have a brew with you sometime (too busy right now). Pat Riley is a senior communication major who wants to learn about brewing. He wants to come to the next meeting and make everyone’s acquaintance. His email address is above. charlie p.

Scott,

After talking with Charlie Pavitt about brewing, he put me in touch with you. I have never brewed before and I am interested in learning how to get started. Let me know if I can meet up with either you or your group sometime, and we can go from here. Looking forward to getting this started.

Take care,

Pat
