The April meeting of the First State Brewers was held at the home of Scott Bieber. I can't find my notes, so I don't know who was there or what we had! I do remember brewing an extract beer on my stove! It was a Belgian ale, which I hope to serve this Friday! I also remember Dave Lawrence carrying my computer in my basement up to my kitchen table so we could view his Germany/England photos! A couple of guys came up from Dover. Their names were on the list, which I can't find! Hopefully they will come to the meeting this Friday!
The May meeting will be held this Friday, May 20th, 7:30 pm, at the home of Garrett Sever.
Garrett sent me the following list of food and beverage he will be serving!
Snacks:
* Chex mix & Chips
* Pigs in blankets
Food:
* Subs (Capriotti's)
* Cole slaw
* Baked beans
Sweets: Cookies
Beverages:
* Nut Brown Ale
* Scotch Ale
* Pale Ale
* Misc. bottled ales
* Diet coke, sprite, maybe a couple others
In terms of activities, we can do whatever. I've got toys to look at and talk about, we could tour my meager hop garden, or we can just hang out on the porch and socialize. Whatever sounds fun. I thought about brewing, but honestly I'd rather be able to take it easy and chat rather than trying to focus on a brewing schedule.
