ATTN ALL:

There is a problem with my hosting of the April meeting – I will not be in the area (kids spring break trip). So this also throws a wrench in the competition I have been planning. 2 possible solutions: (1) postpone the competition until May (which I’ll be happy to host) or (2) whoever hosts the April meeting can take the duties of the competition.

We’ll discuss this at Jerry’s.

Subject: Still around?

Hey.

I am just starting into home brewing and didn’t know if you guys were still around. The website hasn’t been updated in 2 or 3 months, and was interested in finding an organization to join in the area. I live in Newark.

    Thanks and best regards,

     -Garrett Sever

Scott,

Don’t know if you’re at all interested... but I do a little bit of programming / web stuff as a hobby too.

I took some of the basic material from your site (not all, for sure – just enough for a mock-up) and put together this:

      http://www.thesevers.com/fsbbeta

If the club is interested and would like me to continue with the design, I’d be happy to do so. If not, no big deal. We can discuss it on the 19th. In the meantime, I would love to hear your personal opinions. I might have to rewrite small portions of it depending on what your site host provides in the way of server-side scripting (ASP / PHP / etc.), but that wouldn’t take much.

      Best regards,

       -Garrett

I didn’t even think about sending the winners to the AHA - sounds like a plan. I guess if we do send the results, we’ll have to make it sound more “professional” than it actually probably will be!!  We agreed that we’re going to have 3 categories: ale, lager, and “others”. Specific rules, scoring, etc will be distributed at the March er..... Guinness meeting at Jerry’s!!

See you then!
